Holidays over ...

The holidays are over and I'm back to work again. Haggis is just as gorgeous and twice as full of mischief, enjoying being spoiled by Dad during the mornings until Mam comes in and fleeing round the house like a mad thing when she does get in from work. We spent the afternoon on Sunday building a fence around part of our patio area so that Haggis can play outside and we can be 100 % sure that he is safe. Although our cul-de-sac is very quiet our house edges onto a very busy road so we want our baby to be safe. We also did a spot of gardening, tidying the debris away from over the winter months and Haggis was right in the middle of it all!

It was Dad's birthday at the weekend so I needed to make a few cards - with puppies of course!

I have one last card to share. My friend Di invited me to be part of her Card Sketch team and this card went on her blog last week. I used some Eva goodies.

The robots are taking over...

I mentioned through the week that Kate Hadfield had been working on a new kit. It is released today at the LilyPad so I can share it on here. iRobot is a collaboration between Kate Hadfield and Kaye Winiecki and you can buy it here.
I went a bit overboard on these cards, I just couldn't help myself and I know loads of boys and girls who would love to recieve a robot card

Go buy it, you won't regret it - and it's on sale today!!

Life with a puppy ...

We've had Haggis for 2 weeks now and life is full of excitement! He weighs 1.8kg now (1.2kg when we brought hime home), he loves to nibble fingers and toes, socks will do but aren't as good as bare skin  We've all taken to wearing slippers or crocs whilst he's awake. Haggis has gotten into all of our hearts but it's so lovely to see him snuggling with my Dad who never ever wanted a doggy. He loves to explore in the back garden and can't wait to be out in public when he's had all of his injections (won't be long now) and he's into mischief in a big way - chewing the switches and knobs on the music system, pulling out and chewing the books from the bookcase and 'cleaning' the windows in the living room with his little pink tongue. Please forgive all the doggy photographs if you've come looking for cards (I have those too today) but all our family and Mary from Christisons are asking for updates and this is an easy way for everyone to see him :)

He loved playing in the snow last week, especially the day after when it was all frozen and he could walk along on the top of it. These pictures were Haggis and I before I went to school (and yes, crocs aren't the best shoes to be wearing whilst in the snow!)

We had to pop him in a bowl to weigh him!

It's all good!

Crafting wise I have been making the most of being on holiday from school this week (half term) and have been really busy. Kate Hadfield has really outdone herself this week - watch out for a fantastic collab kit for release on Friday at The LilyPad!
Kay has a new release too - Wild About You - and I love it. Who could resist that sweet lion?

It was my turn to take over Eva Kipler's blog through the week and I used some of her papers to make paper beads. I used to make these when I was a little girl but haven't made them for a long time

And then I spent some time playing with Eva's latest kit (a collaboration with Susan from Scrapkitchen Designs) Spring It On

I've made these little gift pockets before but a challenge at the Pink Petticoat blog inspired me to make them again, I used Lady Bugga by Lauren Grier and Jennifer Barrette from Sweet Shoppe Designs and loved how they turned out. I'm going out for my Aunties birthday lunch later today so I popped a few chocolates in each one and I have a nice little party favour for the girlies
Well, I'd better go and find out what trouble Haggis is getting into now!

A Haggis update and some cards...

First off the cards - I'm saving the Haggis update till last :)
These first two cards are made using products from Eva's newest kits available from Sweet Shoppe Designs
Thanks to a lovely lady that I have 'met' through a crafting forum I am the owner of four of these fabulous mailbox tins and used a printable set by Melissa Bennett at the Sweet Shoppe to decorate it - I will definitley be making more of these as they are just so sweet!!
Cupcake doodles by Kate Hadfield

Okay - onto the Haggis update :) He's now been with us a week (seems like a lifetime) and is just adorable. He's been to the vet for his first injection and was very brave, our vet was lovely with him and said he can go out for little mini adventures on the patio area of our garden.

This is for all the family members visiting who would never have believed their eyes at my Dad actually holding, indeed cuddling, a little doggy!! Unbelievable! but Haggis has definitley got into his heart :)

That's my sock that he stole from my foot and has adopted for his own!

Meet Haggis ...

Our new puppy. Six weeks old and perfectly perfect. He's full of mischief but he's a very clever doggie and even though he kept me awake for much of the night we still love him all the way to the end of his little nose :)
