Tis The Season

I have been completely inspired by Gail for this little festive hanging. She made some gorgeous mitten hangings for last months colour challenge at The Ribbon Girl blog and I really loved them so thought I would have a go myself :)
My mitten is a page from a Maya Road chipboard mini book, papers are from a Jenn Barrette digital kit at Sweet Shoppe Designs and the pretty ribbons are from the Ribbon Girl. The 'tis the season' stamp is by Papertrey Ink, I love their sentiment stamps

A Little Bit Cute ...

Just for a change - I have a card that isn't a Christmas card :) I was asked to make a special card for a friends daughter and son-in-law, something for their anniversary and cute.

I used my favourite heart Nestabilities dies, Martha Stewart punch and some beautiful silk ribbon, t5winer and a polka dot button from the Ribbon Girl. The papers and those sweet little mittens are all from this digital kit at Sweet Shoppe Designs. All the edges have been covered in gorgeous, beautiful, sparkly Stardust Stickles

***edited to add - a few people have asked if the snowy background on my recent photographs is a photoshop background - no! it is the 13 inches of snow sitting in my garden, I am currently snowed in. I like to take my photographs outside in natural light so you get a peek of my garden as the background :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge ...

Today my card is for the Watzingmouse sketch challenge and the Daring Cardmakers challenge of spots and stripes

The papers are from a Sweet Shoppe Designs digital kit, the stamp and sentiment is from Waltzingmouse and the ribbons are from The Ribbon Girl

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow ...

I think we've had our years ration of snow during the last few days. I can't remember ever having this much snow in November! We've got about 8 inches of the chilly white stuff sitting in our garden and the weather forecast is for a lot more through the night and tomorrow

So, what's a girl to do when she is snowed in? Spend the day in her pyjamas making cards of course :)

I've had a lovely day watching the snow from the window of my den whilst making cards with a new Nitwit Collections digital kit and ribbons and twine from The Ribbon Girl

Between the blizzards the sun came out and I kept dashing in and out to take quick photographs, I'm a pro at welly boot removal now!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ...

...especially here because today we had 4 inches of snow. Unfortunatley I couldn't stay warm at home and craft all day, I had to walk to work because no traffic could get in or out of where I live. Luckily for me though I got to come home a little earlier and dashed outside between snow showers to take photographs of my recent projects - we've had rain for last couple of weeks which has meant awful lighting for taking photographs

This card is made using a new digital stamp by Lori Boyd, you can find it and lots of other new stamps in her digi stamp shop here

I love the bow, made from some new gorgeous silk ribbon from the Ribbon Girl, it ties perfect bows and I can't stop using it

I've been a bit quiet for the last few weeks, just very busy with school work and fighting off a cold which seems to be winning but I've also completed three magazine assignments which have all been packed up and posted off so now I can get back to playing for fun :)

A Little Bit Dotty ...

Hello, I haven't fallen into a hole - just been very busy and then I went away for a lovely weekend with some crafty friends to do crafty things and go to a wedding - such a lovely time

I haven't taken photographs of my weekend projects but this is a card that I made last week. I used my favourite Lollipop digital stamp from my friend Lori Boyd, older Making Memories glittery spot paper and ruffle and gingham ribbon and stardust stickles from the Ribbon Girl. The little happy birthday ticket is a die and stamp from Papertrey Ink tied on with Divine Twine also from the Ribbon Girl

The Gingerbread Man ...

This little fella is currently hanging above my desk - I love his happy face and his Divine Twine bakers twine hair!
Ricrac, ribbon, polka dot buttons and divine twine bakers twine all from The Ribbon Girl

Another By LORi Designs Card ...

I have another card to share today made using one of the new PJ stamps from Lori Boyd.  The little waggon actually had a pumpkin sitting in it but I really didn't need another pumpkin card - I needed a girly birthday card instead. So I worked some magic - simply used the erase tool in Photoshop to erase the pumpkin and added in Lori's little lollipop dog instead! For an easier option you can buy the stamp without the pumpkin - Lori has added an extra stamp to the shop inspired by my adaptations :)
