How to make the owl ...

Lots of people have asked how I made my owl so .......

Print the template image on an A4 piece of paper - it's upside down because I scanned it upside down and I can't work out how to turn it round :)

Cut the body shapes and wings from stiff card or several layers of thinner card glued together. Cover each of the body shapes and both sides of the wings with patterned paper. I used a different pattern for each pattern piece. Cut out two tummies and four eyes, ink the edges of everything with walnut distress ink and use a fine pen to draw faux stitching around the edges. Sandwich the wings between the body pieces and glue together. Adhere the tummy pieces and circles for the eyes and glue two black buttons on each side. Punch a hole at the top and thread through twine tied with rusty jingle bells. Cover wooden festive shaops with paper scraps and add tot he lengths of twine
