Fairies, Angels or String People ...
I made lots of these last year and hung them on my Christmas parcels - I called them Angels because it was Christmas and I made them cream and gold. This year I made a whole set of them in rainbow colours, they're currently on my tree but after Christmas I'll be taking them into school to hang in my classroom (I teach in Rainbow class) and this year they are Fairies ;)
Whatever you call them this is how I make them ...
cut felt into dress shapes
give them arms using the silver twine - make hands by knotting the ends
add a wooden bead to a long length of silver twine and pearl beads for their feet
add their body to their arms and dress and keep in place with the other side of the dress
draw eyes and a smiley face
cut suitably sparkly wing shapes from silver glitter mesh and attach with more of the double sided tape
Hey presto! you've made a Fairy ... or an Angel ...
Don't throw away the scraps of felt - stack them up, thread onto more of the silver twine and turn them into a rainbow coloured felt Christmas tree :)
This is the image that I found online last year which gave me the idea and then I tracked down this blog to find out how to make them

Calorie Free Cake ...
I've been playing with paper this week using a new digital kit by my friend Nicole of Sugarplum Paperie. I wanted to make something that would show off the gorgeous paper designs and came up with the idea of turning my gift boxes into a cake by stacking them, I used 14mm flatback pearls for the feet of each box which separated the layers and covered a ribbon reel with more of the paper and some pretty paper flowers to create the stand. It can either be used as 3 separate gift boxes or as 1 full set

Lili Of The Valley Birthday Card
Hello, I'm back with my third project as Guest Designer for Lili Of The Valley. This time I used a pre coloured image from one of their Art Pads.
I love the LOTV Art Pads as they are perfect for me to use when I want to make cards - I either want to stamp and colour and then keep the images to make a card later on or I want to play with paper, use scissors, glue and glitter to make cards. I make too much mess when I am making a card to colour in at the same time so the Art Pads mean I can simply pick my image, remove it from the pad and go!
I used:
Papers that were already out on my table left over from another project - there are benefits to not tidying up!!
Doo Hickeys tag die
Ranger Distress Ink (Walnut)
Satin ribbon, velvet lace, pearl organza rose trim, sparkly button, key charm, pink bakers twine, pins, white liquid pearls and stardust stickles all from The Ribbon Girl
The sentiment was printed onto SafMat using Simon Script font
( I added stardust stickles direct to parts of the Art Pad image for extra girly sparkle)

First Christmas card of the year, made for the August Ribbon Girl colour challenge - red. My favourite red felt reindeers are back in stock for the coming season so I had to snaffle a packet or two to secret away in my craft room before they all got sold.
