More stuff ...

A few cards that I made with products from Sweet Shoppe Designs (credits are in my gallery at the Sweet Shoppe)

I made the notecard box at the crop I went to last weekend that my friend Debbie did an off the cuff class on. She is so talented and so good at making people realise they need to buy more tools

Lucky Day ...

Yesterday must have been my lucky day. As well as winning the prize on the Hero Arts blog I got an email from the lottery telling me I had won £10 on Wednesdays lottery draw :)
Hip Hip Hooray - I wonder what today will bring?
There is another challenge this week on the Hero Arts blog - combining different alphabet or greetings stamps to create a message. Luckily Debbie came up trumps as usual and my new set of HA stamps arrived yesterday morning so of course I had to have a play - I even got out the box of really old stash to rootle through and pulled out some very old papers (one of them was copyright 2004 so practically an antique!!) I also used some of Kates doodles as they went perfectly and I used a greeting stamp but masked off some of the words and replaced them with my favourite Making Memories teeny tiny alphabet stickers.

(Stamps - Hero Arts - Sending Happy Thoughts #CL305, Hero Arts - Elephants #CL280, Ink - Stazon and Memento, Digital toadstool elements - Woodland Whimsy doodle set by Kate Hadfield at The LilyPad, Alphabet Stickers - Making Memories, Papers - K&Company, KI Memories and Lasting Impressions (I really dug deep in my old stash for these!!), Cardstock - Stampin Up, Colour medium - ProMarkers, Black pen - Letraset, Goggle eyes)

Anyway, it's almost 3AM now so I am away to my bed. I will miss my late night crafting session when I go back to work next week

CPS #111

Today I made a card for the CPS sketch challenge blog.

(Sweet As by Fee Jardine at Sweet Shoppe Designs, Buttons - Autumn Leaves, Ribbon - Beresfords)

Yesterday was a public holiday for us in the UK and we took Haggis for his first visit to the seaside - most of the county seemed to be there too so we didn't stop long (we went home for fish and chips :) )

Another day, another challenge ...

Well actually it was a through the night creation  Does anyone else sometimes have to get out of bed as they are wide awake at 2AM and their head is full of ideas to make?

Anyway, after hopping around a few blogs this week I stumbled on the Double Dutch challenge blog - and it's such an inspirational blog too. This weeks challenge was to make a tea bag!

I used a new kit by Mary Fran over at NitWit Collections and filled it with chocolate mini eggs. I made quite a few to give away to the little people who come to visit us and this was the only one left to photograph.

Yesterday I went to a crop with some friends and did lots of chatting, gossiping and a bit of crafting - oh and I ate quite a few chocolate mini eggs, played with Debbie's Papertrey stamps and ink, shopped in Jean's shop and generally had a lovely day. Debbie showed me how to make one of her boxes (which is finished but needs something to go inside of it before it's ready to photograph) and I came home with a few cards done and my brain whizzing along with an idea for our cyber crop next week.

Haggis update ...

Just a little puppy update for our friends :)
Can you believe that just a few weeks this teeny tiny bundle of fluff could climb inside my slipper! And now he's a big boy, weighs 4.6 kg and he thinks he's some kind of greyhound

We're still working on the whole photograph thing!

Another sketch challenge ...

I had a shuffle around in my craft room this morning, decided to hide my computer tower under the desk and put my big printer up on the top of the workbench as I kept having to crawl under neath my desks to put different papers in and it was starting to really bug me - what is it that we need so many wires attached to our computers? I bet there is a mile of wires sitting under my desk for printers, camera, monitor, iPod, EHDs, tablet etc. It took me ages anyway. But now it's organised and I have a clean and clear desk because I had to tidy it up before I started so that is a bonus :)

This card is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge, I turned the sketch round a bit but I like it.
Papers are bloom and grow by Zoe Pearn at Sweet Shoppe Designs, coredinations cardstock, a Pink Petticoat image stamp and a Melissa Francis greeting stamp

A spot of retail therapy :) ...

Hip Hip Hooray, it's the Easter holidays, school is closed for 2 weeks and I am pretty excited!! Don't get me wrong, I love my job but I love the holidays more I think!
I've spent the weekend celebrating being on holiday by a bit of retail therapy. I bought the most comfortable shoes yesterday and they are really sweet, just right for wearing with my jeans - light as a feather, just like wearing my slippers. Remember when you were a kid and you got new shoes and wanted to wear them to bed? these are those shoes, they even have buttons to fasten them :)

Then I went Hobbycraft and indulged in a few packets of their brads that were in the sale - I love bargains! - and some fab felt elements, really cute snails and ladybirds caught my eye that I thought would be useful for birthday cards for during the summer.

Lastly I went digi shopping. There are so many digital kits currently calling my name that I had to be very good and not buy them all - but I did indulge in a few :) Hopefully I managed to link the images ;) There seems to be a bunny pattern going on!!

I did play with some of these today so hopefully I'll be able to take photographs tomorrow

Catching Up ...

Oh wow, the last couple of weeks have been really busy and mostly filled with Haggis. He's able to go out and about now so we've been showing him our little corner of the world and we've also enrolled him in Puppy School. Our first session was last week and we haven't been expelled yet - there's time yet mind you!!

The beginning of last week was taken up with a horrible visit to the Dentists for me and a day off work to recover from my ordeal :( We've also been decorating. My brother and his fiance have finally moved out of our house into their own which meant I could move out of the spare room and back into my own larger bedroom which they've had for the last year which in turn means that the spare room can be turned back into my craft room!! Hip Hip Hooray I can't wait to have all of my supplies in one room instead of being spread out in storage around the rest of the house and even the shed and greenhouse out in the garden! I've been to IKEA today for new storage stuff and shelves and tomorrow we're putting my work benches back in and moving my furniture in and then hopefully I can set about organising everything.

I have spent some time over the last few weeks making cards and playing with paper so I have stack of photographs to share :) But first here is my baby

I finally got around to using the hostess stamps from my Stampin' up collection and my promarkers - I love both and will definitley be buying more markers

I love this new digital kit by Melissa Bennett at Sweet Shoppe Designs, it's an Easter kit but I loved the colours and thought it would be good for a wedding card that we needed and then of course I couldn't resist the little bunny :)

I also used it to make some little Easter goodies for the kids in my class. I bought the test tubes from ebay before Christmas but never actually got round to using them but when I saw these teeny tiny little chocolate eggs at the supermarket I thought they would look so cute in the test tubes

I've had a few visits from the postman too, including these gorgeous stamps from Papertrey Ink and the heart punches that fit exactly which makes life very easy and some from Hero Arts too, the happy birthday greeting stamp is just the right length for my size of cards and I can see it being used loads!

I went to Hobbycraft through the week too and stocked up on some new dies for my bigshot as well as a stack of bling and brads because a girl just can't have enough of either and I love to have them in lots of colours. And just because I was in the mood for emptying my piggy bank I invested in a couple more sets of the nestabilities dies including these fab labels. I can see these becoming my next 'must have the whole collection' addiction
