April Already...

Well 2008 is certainly whizzing along, we're into April already, the clocks changed at the weekend so it's lovely to have daylight until after 7pm now.

I have a few cards to share, I'm still making cards lying on the floor due to my poorly back and today was the first time in 3 months that I spilt something on the carpet - if you're going to shake your white paint make sure the lid is on before you do it!!!! Thank goodness it was white and not black and that I managed to clear it all up without it spoiling the carpet, which is of course a very pale colour.

Challenge...

Over on Melissa's blog she has a challenge to make a card including tags, at least 2 folds and something old. I made a chipboard flower into a tag, included lots of paper folding on the pleated paper trim and used something almost old - recycled raffia from a parcel that was delivered this week. I also used my new paint dabbers which I love. My friend sent me the gold and silver set of paint dabbers this morning and the are very scrumptious looking :)

Lilypad Friday...

I am so into making shaped cards at the moment, luckily both Kate and Jacque released digital element kits today at the Lilypad that were just calling out to be turned into shaped cards :)

For all of these cards I resized the images so the finished cards would fit into a 15 x 15 cm square envelope and then printed two copies of the element using smooth card and textured card. I used the image printed onto the smooth card as the base of the card and cut sections from the textured cardstock then glued them onto the base image to add extra dimension. When it was all finished and looking pretty I adhered it all to the card blank and cut around the edge with my craft knife to make the shaped card.

Shaped cards...

I seem to have a thing for shaped cards at the moment. They involve lots of handcutting but are so worth the effort.

These two were made for Daisie Company CT - I love the aeroplane the best :) I made some more but I can't share them just yet.

It was Froggy Friday at The Lilypad yesterday, stacks of new releases and goodies for me to play with. All credits are in my gallery.

I Got Mail...

Pretty colours dropped through my letter box this morning. I can't wait to use these felt balls on my hybrid projects really soon - as in today!!

I must be having a 'felt' day as I made this card for Kate Hadfield's Creative Team using a cute felt embellishment and digi resources.

Back update...

I had my MRI scan today at the hospital on my back, hopefully the medics will now be able discover exactly what has gone wrong and be able to plan how to fix it!!

I uploaded some cards to the galleries this morning that I made during the week for Daisie Company. If you have a spare half hour or so you really should visit their online store as they have a great group of designers.

Creation Overload ...

There are lots of lovely goodies on release at The Lilypad today and I've been playing with some of them this week:

I also just realised that I didn't share last weeks Lilypad creations because of Blogger playing up and not working for me

I've also been playing with goodies from Prima Hybrid, well I say playing what I should say is drooling!! The store over there is stocked with so many gorgeous kits, I'm like a kid in a sweetie shop trying to choose what to drop into my shopping basket.
