Baby it's cold outside ...

... that's the challenge over at Papertake Weekly this week and it certainly was a challenge for me. I didn't want to make a Christmas card and all the wintry supplies I had looked too much like Christmas ... until I had a brainwave that if it was that cold outside then it would be frosty ... and sparkly! So today's card is a super sparkly card for a friends winter birthday

A 'new' challenge at PTW ...

There is a 'new' challenge at Papertake Weekly this week - new baby, new job, new products or supplies etc.  I chose to make my card using new supplies - new dies, new lace and a new to me Magnolia stamp (I was going to use it to make Christmas cards but never used it). My card is to say thank you to a work colleague who picked my name out of the bran tub pot for the Christmas presents and she bought me a lovely Cath Kidston bag - lucky me!!

I used:
Magnolia stamp coloured with Copics
Velvet ribbon, lace, bead trim, stickles and flower all from Ribbon Girl

Snowmen, Gingerbread Men and more ...

Just catching up on some of my Chrsitmas cards that never made it to my blog. I had no time before Christmas, just managed to scrape through with the important hand made cards and everyone else had shop bought cards - oh the shame! I'll be making Christmas cards every month in 2013 to make sure I don't have the same lack of time problem next Christmas :)

Presents ...

Happy Christmas Eve!

I tried hard this year to make quite a lot of my smaller gifts and these little gingerbread men were what I made for the children in my class to hang on their tree

Fabric from the Fat Quarters shop, ribbon, twine and felt from Ribbon Girl

I have been a lousy blogger recently, just too much going on at the day job and then having this horrid cold which put me out of action for a couple of weeks. Hopefully over the next few days though I can share some of the cards I've made recently, there aren't many as I've not felt crafty whilst being poorly
