Catch up Saturday ...

I'm playing catch up today. When I've been able to get on my computer I've been concentrating on Design Tem commitments so there is quite a bit to share. Apologies for all the pictures :)

Life is just one big adventure...

I'm speeding through life at the moment from the lowly position of my living room floor - my back is making very slow progress, some days are better than others. I think the combination of acupuncture and a change in pain relief medication is making a difference. Thank goodness for a laptop and WiFi so I can spend my days on the internet and I've discovered you can make cards lying on the floor
So, my big news from Monday was that I am now a PrimaHybrid flower girl and today I have some of my hybrid creations from Prima to share.

What I'm really loving about the products in the Prima shop is that they are all so different but equally you can mix and match between the kits

I absolutely love these ATCs but I'm going to have to give them up because they are going off for a Valentine ATC swap with some friends (perhaps I'll make some more for me to keep)

Have you ever heard ...

... of someone bursting with excitement? As that is what will be happening soon to me  I have such exciting crafty news but can't share yet, another couple of weeks, and the reason why there hasn't been a lot of craftyness around here.

What I can share though are some ATCs made with Kates doodles - she is so clever :)

The snowflakes and the winter doodle are all in Kate's shop at the Lily Pad.

Long Time No Blog...

Oops, it's been a little while since my last post. I'm back at work so crafting time has been cut but I have had time for a little play with some new digi kits and bits and bobs!

I used the rather fantastic Scrapbook Graphics collab kit featuring a host of great designers including Trish Jones to make a gift bag and card. I loved this paper by Trish and printed it on hammered effect cardstock to give it some texture.

Then I got to play with another two delicious collab kits by Kate, Gina and Tiff. The first kit (Festival of Light) is in fact all about Hanukkah but has this gorgeous blue paper that I fell in love with and turned into a tree ornament by covering a square of chipboard with the paper, cutting a snowflake from another piece from the kit and adding glitter, diamonds and Glimmer mist that I bought from the lovely Jean.

And just to prove that you don't need to buy expensive gift wrap when you have a few digital kits I made my own wrapping paper and gift tag using papers from the Holly Jolly Christmas kit.

I'm sorry that it seems like lots and lots of photographs today but I wanted to share two ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) that I made for an ongoing swap before I post them. I used papers and elements from both the kits, and I love them. I have a few ideas for cards based on these ATCs when I get more time.

A Spot of Catching up...

What a busy week! Somehow it is Sunday night again and I don't know where the weekend has gone.
I have finally moved back into my new and improved workshop and it's lovely having everything to hand but it took a long time yesterday sorting, tidying and putting everything away. I took these photographs yesterday because a forum friend was asking about the room, I've since been shopping for curtain fabric and today we made curtains.

I have a new logo over there ------------> under the 'I Design For' title, I am now on Kate Hadfield's Design Team and if you haven't been over to the Lily Pad and bought up all of her doodles - what are you waiting for? I've already used lots of her digi doodles in the past for my cards and I'm looking forward to playing with more in the future. I used some doodles for ATCs for an ongoing swap and they are just the cutest things to play with..

(Kate Hadfield Vehicle doodles 2, Lettering delights digi paper, Typical Writer font, ric rac)

(Kate Hadfield Haloween doodles 2, Pink Petticoat and Lettering Delights digi papers, Typical Writer font)

I've spent some of the weekend playing with Kate's doodles and also making some cards for people at work.

(Shabby Princess digi papers, Queen and Co felt, Sizzix heart die, Typical Writer font, Cuttlebug embossing folder, ric rac)
(This card was part of my blog post last weekend but I've adapted it with a name and a number)

Although the weather has been sunny and dry here today it was quite windy and my cards kept blowing away whilst I was trying to take photographs so they are indoor shots so not the best.

Only one week to go until half term and a whole week off - I'm looking forward to spending time crafting (I haven't even opened my new parcel of Magnolia stamps that arrived on Friday yet and also making the bunnies that some friends have ordered :)

ATCs

I haven't been up to much as I've got a cold and my head feels like it's full of cotton wool so my brain which struggles to work at the best of times is on go-slow.
I did manage to get around to photographing the ATCs that I made for a Halloween swap with some pals. You might have guessed that those Magnolia stamps would make another appearance! Heather and I swapped a few stamped images and she sent me this very cute witchy so of course I just had to use it and you can't tell on the photographs but I used the new mock twinkling H20 paints that I got this week on the orange background.

Have you seen what some of the girls over on It's A Creative World have been up to with some Bella Stamps? They have a prize draw on the go too, shame I can't enter

Perhaps I'll get around to some more craftyness tomorrow.
