A Very Special Digi Stamp ...

My lovely friend Lori Boyd, the designer of those Lollipop stamps that I love so much, has designed a very special digital stamp to raise money for a very special little girl.

She has her story on her blog here and if you would like to purchase this rather gorgeous stamp all you have to do is email Lori  byloridesigns@gmail.com with your paypal address and she will invoice you via paypal, then send your Macie's Rainbow Digi!!

For a donation of $5 you can have her!!

100% of the proceeds will go to Mission 4 Macie

This is the card that Lori made using the Macie's Rainbow digi stamp

I hope that you'll all visit Lori's blog to read about Macie's story and of course buy her digital stamp

Cute!

I followed a link and then another and then another (as you do when you are blog hopping and wasting a few hours) and found myself at the blog of the Baby Buds. Their stamps are just so sweet that I had to shop (digital stamps for immediate gratification) and play almost straight away. This is the card I made and it is so cute. I even used real paper from October Afternoon and my new dinamics scalloped dies from My Favorite Things

...and thanks to Mary Anne and Krista my card was featured on their blog today :)

Digital Stamps ...

So, I guess by now that anyone who reads my blog (and I was pleasantly suprised when I added the 'followers' gadget to my side bar at the weekend to see so many of you :o) ) has realised that I love to use my computer when I papercraft so digital stamps are, in my opinion an excellent invention. No need to take up lots of room to store them, no need to shock your friends when you tell them that you *never* ever clean your rubber stamps (ahem, Nat that was for you) and you can resize them to fit any sise of card.  Anyway, enough rambling, I used some new digital stamps to make a few cards

The white rabbit stamp is a Mo Manning image and the lion is a Meljen's Designs image

Little Cards ...

I have been making a few mini cards, just to keep when you need to send a note to someone or to pop in with a parcel to brighten someone's day :)

The little images are from Pink Cat Studio and the shapes were cut with my nestabilities dies

Ahoy! ...

Ahoy my maties! Don't you just love this little pirate pussy cat? It's a digital stamp from Chicken Girl Designs, coloured with Promarkers and I matched it with some papers with a travel theme from Sweet Shoppe Designs.

I think I shall be making more cards with this stamp as it makes me happy :)

Bleurgghhhh - poorly sick :(

Oh dear I have been poorly all week. On Saturday I began a huge sort out of my craft room, I was very ruthless and I mean *very* ruthless. Everything I haven't used in the last couple of months has gone. We put it all in bags and took it to our local tip. There were 4 bags of papers that I had to stand and feed into the paper recycling bins there as well as a stack of cardboard boxes and stacks of unwanted stuff. I have got rid of all my 12 x 12 papers, all gone. If I need to scrap a layout for a magazine I have been buying just the papers I need for it anyway and I never use the old stuff so it's all gone. I have 2 drawers full of Prima flowers from the year spent on their hybrid design team and whilst I didn't want to throw them all, there are so many of them I would never use them in several lifetimes so I have set them all aside to pass onto some friends of mine. Anyway, by Saturday evening it was all gone but I was left with a very untidy room, lots of stash and lots of empty cupboards. On Sunday I started to feel unwell so my Mum had to help me sort and tidy all my remaining stuff and fine new homes for it all. It is lovely to have 'space' and even empty cupboards and duckets that I will happily fill up over the next few months :)
On Monday morning when I woke up I was feeling so poorly with a horrible cold that I had to phone work and say I was sick and I have been here, snuggled in the corner of my sofa with my laptop and my pyjamas on since then. When I have had a spurt of energy I have wandered to the kitchen for food and into my craft room to admire the apce and tidyness of my desk but quickly returned to my corner. This afternoon I decided I was feeling a bit better so I called work and said I would be back tomorrow but I think I may have been counting my chickens before they hatched as my feeling better didn't hang around long.
I do have a couple of cards to share that I made over the weekend using some of my new and very lovely Heather Ellis digital stamps. The papers for the first two cards aer from a digital kit by Kristin Cronin Barrow who sells out of the Sweet Shoppe called Bookworm. They made me think of Cosmo Cricket and I think I'll be using them lots :) The purple card was made using papers from SuzyQ designs at Scrap Orchard, I don't usually work with purple but I just loved those dots and I used my new Martha Stewart heart shaped deep edge punch too.

Hopefully I will be feeling better soon as I have plans in my head for lots of crafting and I have pennies burning a hole in my pocket for all the new CHA goodies that should be appearing in the stores soon. I *need* new stuff from Cosmo Cricket, October Afternoon and My Minds Eye ;)

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside ...

We're away for a few days at the seaside - hoping it doesn't rain too much - but I wanted to share this last card that I made with the Lil Spooks collection of digital stamps at Sweet Shoppe Designs. Even though I am not a halloween person these stamps were seriously sweet and I couldn't resist them :)

Another CPS sketch ...

I love being on holiday from work. So yesterday I just scraped in with last weeks CPS sketch and today I have already completed the new sketch and even photographed it! I am on a roll :)

For this card I used another of Lauren Grier's new digital stamps, this time one of the owl stamps from her Woo Says The Owl collection as well as these gorgeous papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs and my ProMarkers to colour the stamp (I had a delivery this week of all the new colours of Promarkers so now I have more colour choices but a storage nightmare!!)

A Singing Mouse ...

I couldn't resist buying this cute little singing mouse stamp from DigiStamp Boutique. Isn't she lovely? I coloured her with ProMarkers and used more of the Twinklets to give her fur trim a frosty look and to give her boots a dusting of crunchy, frosty snow.

The papers are a retired set from the Sweet Shoppe which is a shame as they are really lovely in real life.

Snail Mail ...

I love this sweet little snail :) He is a digital stamp from DigiStamp Boutique, coloured with my ProMarkers and the papers are all from The Sweet Shoppe. The sentiment element is a stamp from Papertrey Ink with a punched scalloped circle.

He's going off in the post to say thank you to a friend

A Little Bit Snowy...

It's been so chilly here lately I can almost imagine that it could snow but for today I am happy with a paper snowman :) I discovered this little fella on my hard drive at the weekend. I remembered buying him last year and then never using him but he was so cute I brought him out and gave him an airing for this card. I've added some extra layers of the snowman and his little doggie to give more dimension and of course I had to use the twinklets to make all that snow twinkle and sparkle.

Busy As A Bee ...

Here is another card using this outrageously bright turquoise polka dot paper that I love so much. The bumble bee is a digital stamp from The Digi Stamp Boutique and I have covered his wings with Twinklets that I bought from the Hobby House a few weeks ago and hadn't used. I have to say that now I have opened the pot I'll be using it on everything!
Just a short post today as I am snowed under with school work at the moment. We are completely revamping our classroom and it is taking away all my crafting time. It will be worth it though when it is looking perfect and just how we want it :)

World Card Making Day ...

It's World Card Making Day today. I am celebrating this fact by having a pyjama day, online shopping, making cards, eating chocolate and then settling down tonight to watch Strictly Come Dancing on the television. Haggis is snoozing on the back of the sofa (he thinks he's a cat!) and keeping one eye open watching the leaves fly by the window. It is so very windy here today and as I type this I am watching out of the kitchen window wondering if the fence is going to blow down and listening to the tiles on our roof having a bit of a jiggle around. Perhaps I should move my brand new week old car off the drive incase it gets hit by a tile from the roof.

Anyway, I stayed up very late last night, infact it was almost breakfast time, making cards so have two to share today.

The first is made from a digital kit by Zoe Pearn at Sweet Shoppe Designs and uses the digital version of the My Minds Eye OohLaLa papers. My desk has been covered with the MME papers all week as I was finishing off a big magazine project but I find the patterns on 12x12 papers are often too big for my smaller cards which is why I love to use digital papers that I can easily reduce down to size.

The second card uses a digital stamp that I bought from Mo's Digital Pencil (thanks Jane for the link to this site). I couldn't decide which stamps to buy and eventually settled on 3 but I have a few more on my wish list over there.
