Welcome Mason ...

One of my colleagues is leaving next week as they are adopting so this card and it's own decorated box are my gift to her. I guessed that a gift card to spend on whatever she needs most would be very welcome so made a little pocket inside the card to keep it safe.

I followed the sketch at Friday Sketchers, all of the papers are Echo Park Little Boy, Ribbon Girl saddlestitch ribbon and that sweet little stamp is another of the Molly Blooms stamps. He is gorgeous, sadly not mine, but my lovely friend Jane sent me some stamped images of him so I got colouring straight away!

Challenges ...

There is a lot of talk about challenges going on around this place. The Ribbon Girl are kicking off a brand new year by sponsoring the *new* Just Magnolia and Hanglar Stanglar challenge this week so of course I had to make a card for it. It's an 'Anything Goes' challenge and I have used the sketch from Friday Sketchers too

(digital papers from this kit, flowers from here and ribbon, stickles and pins from the Ribbon Girl)

Sparkly Princess ...

Well, you can't have a Princess card without sparkle can you?

Today I spent some time stamping and colouring and making a few cards. I had a quick waltz down my blog list and found a great sketch challenge at the Friday Sketchers blog and a challenge at the Cardvaarks blog to decorate the inside and the outside of a card so I've combined them and made this card

I used this gorgeous Princess digital Lollipop stamp from Lori Boyd Designs, coloured with Copics and covered in Stickles
The pink satin ribbon and aqua dewdrop embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl
Papers are October Afternoon - I used up the scraps from decorating the front to use inside for the Cardvaarks challenge

A Friday Sketches Challenge ...

There is a lovely sketch this week at the Friday Sketches challenge blog and this is my take on it
I made an easel card, I didn't start out to do one of these it just kind of evolved and it was the cowgirl papers that were the driving force behind the design.
This is what it looks like when it is closed, I've really struggled with the photographs as it has been pouring with rain for the last two days and I took these inbetween the rain!

The papers and other bits and pieces are from a new digital kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs and all the ribbons, lace and twine are from the Ribbon Girl - I've been itching to use some of that red ruffle gingham ribbon :)

Friday Sketchers Challenge...

There was a great sketch over at the Friday Sketchers blog for this week which I teamed with a new digital kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs called Strawberry Fields and this gorgeous checked red and white ribbon from The Ribbon Girl. It was going to be for my Mum and Dad but Dad being a Dad hadn't bought a card so he ended up giving it to my Mum :)

Kraft, Corrugated and Brown ...

These are so so so not my colours but oh how I love this card!  I blame my current fascination with corrugated kraft on Jane and Nat :)  This card is made using a digital kit by Meg Mullens and Melissa Bennett and is available at both Scrap Orchard and Sweet Shoppe Designs. I also used the sketch at Friday Sketchers challenge blog and because I used lots of lovely Papertrey kraft cardstock I am also entering it into Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday challenge - killing how many birds with one stone?!!

A bit pink ...

I managed to complete my card for the Friday Sketchers challenge in time this week and have used all my favourites together for this card - I love pink, I love flowers, I love Hanglar stamps. The sketch was great to use, I'll be using this one again :) Papers are from the Sweet Shoppe from a kit called Sweetness - quite a fitting name for such a pink card!
