Pretty in Peach ...

Now peach isn't a colour that I would normally ever admit to liking, it kind of falls into the same category as brown and mustard but ... I loved these papers by Wendy at the Clipart Fairy and when I was looking through my images that I've already coloured in I found this Lollipop digital stamp coloured in orange tones and they all seemed to go nicely with my most favourite cream satin ribbon and the pretty flower lace from the Ribbon Girl

Ballerina Card ...

Today I want to share this pretty Ballerina card
The papers are from a Cosmo Cricket paper pad, stamp is a digital Lori Boyd Lollipop stamp, the beautiful satin ribbon and the pins come from the Ribbon Girl, star is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and cut with a nestabilities star die and I added some ballet shoe and flower charms - oh and lots of stickles :)

Sweet Heart ...

Christmas has gone, all the decorations have been taken down and packed away for another 11 months. Tomorrow I go back to work but today I made a Valentines card :-)

I used all of my favourites on this card to cheer me up from the 'back to work' feeling - the colours red and white, scalloped circles, bakers twine, my all time favourite Lori Boyd Lollipop stamp my new sewing machine and polka dots!  That lovely red ribbon with the heart shaped edge and the extra large heart pin are both new from the Ribbon Girl

A Little Bit Dotty ...

Hello, I haven't fallen into a hole - just been very busy and then I went away for a lovely weekend with some crafty friends to do crafty things and go to a wedding - such a lovely time

I haven't taken photographs of my weekend projects but this is a card that I made last week. I used my favourite Lollipop digital stamp from my friend Lori Boyd, older Making Memories glittery spot paper and ruffle and gingham ribbon and stardust stickles from the Ribbon Girl. The little happy birthday ticket is a die and stamp from Papertrey Ink tied on with Divine Twine also from the Ribbon Girl

Sparkly Princess ...

Well, you can't have a Princess card without sparkle can you?

Today I spent some time stamping and colouring and making a few cards. I had a quick waltz down my blog list and found a great sketch challenge at the Friday Sketchers blog and a challenge at the Cardvaarks blog to decorate the inside and the outside of a card so I've combined them and made this card

I used this gorgeous Princess digital Lollipop stamp from Lori Boyd Designs, coloured with Copics and covered in Stickles
The pink satin ribbon and aqua dewdrop embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl
Papers are October Afternoon - I used up the scraps from decorating the front to use inside for the Cardvaarks challenge

In A Flowerpot ...

This is my card for the Card Patterns challenge blog.

The stamp is a digital Lollipop stamp from Lori Boyd, coloured with Copics and the glittery-ness is Stickles. The ribbon is a new type of Spotty Organza from the Ribbon Girl (lots of gorgeous colours) and the embossed paper is at least 2 year old Doodlebug that I found in my cupboard whilst looking for something else (as you do)

Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge #1

Over at The Ribbon Girl blog we are hosting our first colour challenge and these are the two cards that I made. The colour challenge is to use black, orange and white in your project and there is a prize too :) The challenge closes on October 3rd so you have plenty time to join in!

So, these are the two cards that I made

(Bewitching digital kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs and twine, braid, ribbon and button from the Ribbon Girl)

(Lori Boyd Lollipop stamp, ribbon, button and pins from the Ribbon Girl)

The bumble person card is a bit of a cardlift from my friend Jan who made a gorgeous card for another of our friends. We were celebrating Gail's birthday last night and I loved the card that Jan had made so decided to try and make my own version this morning but I couldn't really remember how she made it so I just went with the flow and this is what I made!  I used the digital stamp on the back of the card agin and changed the colour to tie in with the orange/black colour scheme. I'm hoping that Jan will put the card on her blog so I can have another go :o)

Baby Lollipop ...

I love these baby Lollipop stamps by Lori Boyd. They're just so sweet that I decided to use one of them for this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge

(I used a Lollipop stamp, October AFternoon papers, Martha Stewart punch, Papertrey buttons and Ribbon Girl lace)

A Non Traditional Baby Card...

... Well at least it started out as being non-traditional until I added the baby  but at least there is no pink or blue ;)  During the last 3 weeks whilst I have been enjoying the long summer holiday from school I have made a lot of cards but I think this just might be my favourite. I love all the white and red is one of my all time favourite colours so really I was onto a winner before I added one of my lovely friend Lori's digi Lollipop stamps :)

(I used a digital Lollipop stamp by Lori Boyd and ribbons from The Ribbon Girl, nestabilities dies, copics, Papertrey cardstock and sentiment stamp and the teeniest tiniest of diamonds (not quite as real as that sounds!) on the bow of the spotty nappy (diaper)

...and I am entering this into the CPS sketch challenge (which I LOVED by the way) as well as The Pink Elephant challenge blog which was to use ribbon and sparkle

I'm back

Good grief, that was a long 2 weeks without my computer! Anyway, I'm back online now and can share some of the cards that I made during my enforced absence from technology :)

This card I made using a digital stamp that I had already printed and have had in my 'ready to do something with' drawer :)

Lori Boyd digital Lollipop stamp and Crystal Wilkerson papers, Prima flowers, Papertrey twine and a corrugated card star completely inspired by my friend Jane who makes lovely cards :)

A Birthday Lollipop ...

I used some more of those Delovely papers from Cosmo Cricket for this birthday card and teamed them with this ever so sweet digital Lollipop stamp by Lori Boyd, I adore these stamps and I am so pleased that Lori has started selling them in digital form (although I do have almost the full set in rubber from Stamping Bella too)

Digital Lollipops ...

Have you heard the news? Lori Boyd's Lollipop stamps are now available in digital versions... whoohooo! ... I loved them in rubber but I love them even more as digi stamps and have used them already to make a couple of cards including this pretty one. I thought she needed a set of fairy wings so added the wings and the star from this SSD digital kit, attached everything with foam dimensional sickers and added a generous amount of glitter too :)

I Dare You ...

Goodness, a whole week since my last blog post but I do have a good reason - a very nasty throat infection that came out of nowhere last weekend. I've been completely floored by it all week and just starting to feel better yesterday and today. I've done hardly any colouring or cardmaking and haven't been in work all week either so it's a bit of a miracle that I have a card for this weeks Daring Cardmakers Challenge let alone two!!

This weeks challenge is all about cards for boys and I've used stamping and my lovely Copics on both of these.  My first card uses a sweet little Hanglar boy riding a bike and papers from the Happy Go Lucky digital kit at Sweet Shoppe Designs and the second features a Lollipop stamp in digital form from Lori Boyd together with papers from the Away We Go digital kit from Nitwit Collections.  I have two cards for this weeks challenge because I couldn't decide which one to use :)

I'm hoping to continue to feel better during this weekend and get over this throat infection so I can get back to work, get back to cardmaking and get out of this house!

Green Lollipop ...

The dare this week at Caardvarks is to create a monochromatic card.  Usually I'd have probably made an all pink card but I reached for the green Copics to colour this little chap in and so I went all green. The chipboard letters are Thickers by American Crafts in silver foil but I changed them by colouring over with a coordinating Copic. The little chap is another Lollipop, the papers are by October Afternoon and I used my favourite heart shaped nestabilities

A New Lollipop Card ...

I was so glad that payday paid another visit during this week as last month I went slightly bonkers conkers with online shopping and several parcels arrived on Friday including my new stamps from Stamping Bella.  I inked up some of them last night including this new Lollipop stamp.  I'm really hoping that Lori designs some more of her Lollipop stamps as I really love them and they're easy to colour too.

I am entering my card into the DCM challenge this week which was to use diecuts on your card. I used a Nestabilities label die and my lovely new Papertrey rikrak die - as well as gorgeous new October Afternoon papers that I got from Jean and a spotted embossing plate from Papertrey

Copics - WhooHoo! ...

So I caved in and admitted defeat and bought the whole Copic Ciao collection *gulp* They were only the cost of a small house but oh so worth it.  I have been playing with them and I absolutley love them.  On the recommendation of Jane I have been stamping onto Stampin Up whisper white paper and I am using my Memento inks that I had for my Promarkers. My Copics I bought from The Scrapbook Shop, I had a full loyalty card and you can imagine how many new loyalty stamps I got to put on my new collecting card :)

These are the first two cards that I have made using the Copics to colour the stamped image
I used the Hanglar bumble boy stamp again, it's definitley one of my favourites at the moment

The second card was made with a Lori Boyd Lollipop stamp from Stamping Bella, I love these and I'm just about to place an order for a few more :) I submitted this card for the Friday challenge on the Stamping Bella blog

I have no idea what is going on with the yellow colour schemes recently, perhaps it's the thoughts of summer

Lollipop, Lollipop ...

Ooooh how I love these little rubber characters. Lori Boyd's gorgeous Lollipop stamps are definitley a favourite in my craft room and this one is so sweet with her polka dot dress and bow in her hair. This was one of the cards I made whilst I was away at a retreat a couple of weekends ago with my friend Jane and I teamed the stamped image with some pretty papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs by Traci Reed

Oh Goodness ...

Oh Goodness! Lori Boyd, the exceptionally talented designer who draws those cute Lollipop people stamps left me a comment on my blog post from a couple of days ago :) She said she loved my card :)

I have been playing with my other stamps that I got and I am going to have to buy some more as they are just too cute!

For this card I used papers from a kit I bought from Meg Mullens at Scrap Orchard, lovely bright colours and my favourite red with white polka dots and my favourite font at the moment, Gimme Space from Sweet Shoppe.

Speaking of Sweet Shoppe Designs, we're currently celebrating our 4th Birthday with lots of exciting events taking part including a birthday card making contest hosted by *me*. There is a prize of a $40 gift card to the store as well as a goody bag from me with some of my favourite embellishments. Go and have a peep :)

And ... if you are in need of any retail therapy this weekend I will point you in the direction of this gorgeous, make your heart stop a beat kit :)

I'm off into town now for a spot of real life retail therapy, I'm buying a new daylight lamp for my desk. I'd rather be spending the money on pretty ribbons and patterned paper but if I can't actually see what I am doing whilst I'm sitting at my desk then there is not much point in having the pretty stuff  And I'm hoping that it might help me to take photographs of my cards when the weather isn't so good, like this week when it's been damp and foggy all week and the colours aren't as bright as they should be
