A bit of a finishing off day...

I pulled out quite a few projects that I had in my cupboard that were at the almost finished stage this morning. First off was my knitting that I started way back in April. So you can't knit - normal people would start with something simple - a scarf perhaps or a pair of wonky legwarmers? Not me! No I would go for a whole ballerina bunny! with wrap around cardigan and ballet pumps. I have decided that knitting is not for me and she's been sat in the cupboard just waiting for a skirt and her features. I would still like to buy one of Little Cotton Rabbits creations when I have some spare pennies but for now I'll have Maggie May sitting in my room with me.

After Maggie May made her debut I moved onto those owls - Hooty and Tweet. I started them ages ago and then ran out of stuffing so they too have been residing in the cupboard. Sadly though, when I finished him I was really disappointed and he looked rather alien like and quite scary so sadly he went in the bin.

The postman finally arrived this afternoon - whoever heard of your morning post coming at 4 o' clock in the afternoon? but he did bring me the September edition of Card Trends magazine and my new cuttlebug embossing folders to play with - so that's where I'll be tonight - at my desk playing with my new goodies :)

New additions in the burrow...

I've spent the weekend making special bunnies for special people. Meet Oscar, Olivia and Bella who will be setting off to start an adventure with the Royal Mail before settling into their new homes. It's raining here today so their photoshoot had to be indoors.

I have a busy week to look forward to. We are still playing catch up at school after our Ofsted so there are tons of things to do before we break up for the summer holidays on Friday.

Meet Claudine and Cecile...

Two very girly bunnies, Claudine and Cecile, will be hopping off to pastures new tomorrow. They are going to two very special sisters and are very excited about their adventure.

Tomorrow is also the launch day of our secret that we've been dying to tell you all about but were sworn to secrecy. It's going to be super fantastic and only 1 sleep!!

Work In Progress...

Even more developments down in the bunny burrow, these three should be finished today and on their way to new homes. In other news we are all very excited as tomorrow sees the launch of our new project. I am feeling very privileged to be working with such a talented bunch of girls. Check back tomorrow to find out what it has all been about.

News from the burrow...

Bunny production has been cranked up again this week and the outcome is two sweet bunnies for two sweet little girls. These bunnies are very special as their dresses are made from fabric brought back from Hawaii. So we thought that if they have Hawaiin dresses then they should have Hawaiin names. So meet Nani ( which means beautiful) and Mohala (which means blossom). Mohala will be jetting off for an adventure in Canada and Nani will be snail mailing her way to Southern England courtesy of the Royal Mail. (The photographs aren't fantastic as they had to be taken indoors)

Another one flies the nest...

Or should that be burrow?

Aimee is currently travelling to Exeter courtesy of Royal Mail to make a new home there. I hope her new owner loves her as I do.

Tonight, when I should have been cooking the tea I was actually taking photographs of it instead. We went to Waitrose in Hexham last week and I couldn't resist this packet of pasta made of very very long twirly-wirly pasta. It tasted nice too and I invented a new meal made of left over slices of ham, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, garlic and low fat cheese (the diet has begun again!)

Here Comes the Bride...

Dum dum de dum .........

Meet Jeanne, the little bunny I've made for a friends wedding present. It's not the greatest photograph in the world and the detail of the lace hasn't really come out too well but you get the idea!

New Homes Required...

I have had some interest in possibly selling some of my bunny creations. I don't really want to get into bunny mass production, but this week I have made a few to 'test the water' so to speak, to see if there is a market for them before investing in more fabric and materials. If they prove popular I will investigate more 'buyer - friendly' solutions for selling them but at the moment they are available on my blog, payment by cheque only.

All bunnies are approx 25 inches tall and are handmade using 100% cotton fabric and superior synthetic filling. I use a pattern by Melly & Me, two fantastic designers from Australia. Prices are £18 plus £2 for postage and packing, parcels will be posted using Royal Mail 'Signed For' service.

Please leave a message with the name of the bunny you would like to purchase together with your email or blog address or you can send an email to: andreagourley@hotmail.co.uk and I will contact you.
I may also consider making 'special orders' by request, contact me if you would like more information.

Meet Flossy

The pattern by Melly & Me that I mentioned a few posts ago arrived yesterday afternoon and I have been busy creating with my sewing machine. Now that she is finished I have decided to put her up on the wall in my scraproom. My desk runs the width of the room under the window so she can hang at one side and hopefully next week I can make her a bunnyfriend to hang on the other side. I bought some lovely pale denim and small floral pale denim cotton in John Lewis this morning so he shall have dungarees fit for a king!
