A rather late LilyPad Friday ...

Before I went away on Friday I finished a few projects for the LilyPad girls. Each month the LilyPad designers join together to create a BYOC (Build Your Own Collaboration) kit. Each set stands alone but when you join them together they create a collaboration kit. Oh my goodness they just keep getting better and better.
I loved all the pieces but a few really stood out for me this month

Has summer gone away?

It has been so cold, windy and wet here for the last few days that I think that summer has finished :( It's not been nice at all - perfect weather for staying indoors and making cards then!!

It's Friday!!

I've had that song from the Little Mermaid stuck in my head all this week, under the sea. I think it's because I've been playing with the new June collaboration stuff from the LilyPad which is all about seaside, summer, beach, sea. The colours are just plain gorgeous.
I made a set of fishie cards with Jacques paper pieces that I am loving at the moment :) and I've got a half finished card using some more of the collaboration stuff sitting here. I would have finished it yesterday but I clicked the wrong thing on my big computer and tried to open 1346 files instead of copy them. The poor thing almost exploded and then refused to print anything else after that so I'll try to get it fixed and my card finished today!

Kate had also got some lovely bright poppy doodles released today so I made a card with those too

Decorating...

I think I've finally made a blog banner that I love. I know I've changed the design of my blog recently more often than normal people change their underwear but you know when you just aren't happy - like the time when you painted your bathroom walls 5 times because you liked it when you first painted it but then hated it the following morning.
Anyway, I've had my new banner sitting on my hard drive for 2 weeks and after looking at it every day I think it's a stayer :) My friend Jacque Larsen is such a talented designer and her paper pieces are just delightful and I'm so excited that I made my banner with her goodies - available from The LilyPad! The two cards I have to share today were made using some of her newer goodies too - Sail Away

Well I guess I should make an attempt to go to bed, hopefully I shall have a better nights sleep than last night after still being awake at 4.30!

New BYOC at The LilyPad

Okay this is a huge enabling post - you have just got to see what those clever people over at The LilyPad have come up with for the April collaboration kit. It's so fabulous it's flippin' awesome!!
These are just a few of my favourites from the new releases, go see for yourself :) and my cards that I made from them, the credits are in my LilyPad gallery

Lilypad Friday...

I am so into making shaped cards at the moment, luckily both Kate and Jacque released digital element kits today at the Lilypad that were just calling out to be turned into shaped cards :)

For all of these cards I resized the images so the finished cards would fit into a 15 x 15 cm square envelope and then printed two copies of the element using smooth card and textured card. I used the image printed onto the smooth card as the base of the card and cut sections from the textured cardstock then glued them onto the base image to add extra dimension. When it was all finished and looking pretty I adhered it all to the card blank and cut around the edge with my craft knife to make the shaped card.

Creation Overload ...

There are lots of lovely goodies on release at The Lilypad today and I've been playing with some of them this week:

I also just realised that I didn't share last weeks Lilypad creations because of Blogger playing up and not working for me

I've also been playing with goodies from Prima Hybrid, well I say playing what I should say is drooling!! The store over there is stocked with so many gorgeous kits, I'm like a kid in a sweetie shop trying to choose what to drop into my shopping basket.

Have you been over to Trish Jones Designs blog? There is a fantastic sketch challenge this week, this is my take on the sketch. I suprised the whole team by making a card - I know, I don't make many cards do I!! :)

Phew - I think that's it! If you've made it this far you might want to check back tomorrow (Saturday) as the Prima Hybrid FlowerGirls are hosting another blog party and there will be lots of freebie templates to download xx
