Yeehaw Cowgirl! ...

This week the challenge at Just Magnolia and Hanglar Stanglar is to create an 'anything goes' card with the option of adding circles. I spent a loveoy afternoon crafting in our conservatory in the rain with my Mum and made this card (it might just be my favourite of all my summer creations). I did try to get a few circles on it but they just weren't working and I have no idea where the image came from, I found it in my drawer of stamped images ready to colour.

Digital papers - Proud 2B American by Melissa Bennett at Sweet Shoppe Designs
Ribbon, twine and charm - Ribbon Girl
Cardstock - Papertrey
Sentiment - Pink Petticoat printed on Safmat
Sewing Machine and corner chomper

I'm entering this card into the Just Magnolia/Hanglar Stanglar challenge

2 Sketches 4 You Challenge ...

I love having time through the week to join in with some challenges during the holidays and today I visited 2 Sketches 4 You. I loved the sketch - so easy to work with - and I used my lovely new papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs and my equally lovely Papertrey Ink Everyday Button Bits stamps. I loved the design teams bows and ribbon knots too so I added a lovely fluffy bow :)

Happy Thursday...

Don't you just love Thursdays? It means that tomorrow is the start of the weekend!!
I'm hoping for a spot of sunshine, keeping my fingers crossed :)

Today I wanted to share a card I made for Sweet Shoppe Designs.

I used this gorgeous kit by Kristen Cronin-Barrow, Berry Patch guaranteed to make you think of summer :)

A Weekend Spent Crafting...

I've had a really lovely weekend spent at a crop. I made some new friends and with a weekend dedicated to crafting I came home with a pile of finished projects.

These were some of the cards that I made and a little chipboard mini book

6 months ...

We're at the end of June now so Christmas is only 6 months away and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas time. It's also my birthday in exactly 6 months today which is fairly scary as I seem to be zooming through my thirties at top speed! I spotted this wooden birdhouse in the supermarket a couple of weeks ago and it was reduced to £1.50 so I couldn't really think of a reason why I shouldn't buy it, I've turned it into a Christmas birdie house and in the process turned the kitchen, living room, myself, other family members and even the car into a glitter factory

It's just a quick post today as I need to be up early tomorrow as we're going out for the day on an adventure (every day doing a bit more to get my back fixed and me back at work) and it's already 1AM - oh dear!

Dots ...

I love dotty papers, they make me feel so happy and I've come to the conclusion that they are my favourite type of patterned paper. I downloaded a new digital kit at the weekend that just so happens to have another dotty paper to add to my collection :)

Just because it doesn't feel right to share another blog post without a card I'm sharing this cute space rocket card with yet another piece of spotty dotty patterned paper. It's zooming off to a little boy I know who has a birthday really soon

I'm beginning to think of projects to work on when I head off for a scrapping weekend next weekend. I'm going all of about 2 miles to scrap with some friends for the weekend. I've warned them that I will have to lie on the floor for a bit of the weekend to straighten out my back but I have been doing more sitting down as opposed to lying down and my poorly back is definitely getting better. Thank goodness for that!!

Monday...

I have a few cards to share today, the first is for the Daring Cardmakers blog challenge - to use wheels on a card. It's Jack's 5th birthday coming up so this will be trundling his way.

This second card is for Prima Hybrid, I spent a happy afternoon on Friday drowning in flowers but can't share anything else just yet.

Yesterday was Fathers Day and the men folk of our family had organised a boys night out so not to be outdone us girlies decided to have a girls night out and went out to our favourite Indian restaurant for a curry feast. It was rather delicious. I was really happy that not only did I manage to sit through the entire meal without hurting too much I drove there and back too. My poorly back is definitley starting to feel a lot better :)

Has summer gone away?

It has been so cold, windy and wet here for the last few days that I think that summer has finished :( It's not been nice at all - perfect weather for staying indoors and making cards then!!

Adorable Me ...

No - not me! It's the name of my friend Betty Jo Martin's latest digital kit. She joined up with Misty Cato and together they made the sweetest kit, the colours are just so summery and I love it.
I've made a few cards with it but I want to come back and use it some more when I have more time.

Caardarks Challenge...

I've made another tag for the current Caardvarks challenge - make a tag on the theme of one of the months of the year. I spotted a lovely Christmas kit in the Sweet Shoppe Designs store so this tag is all about December.

Whilst I was playing with tags again I got caught up in the drama of 'The Snail That Ate The New Plants' that was happening in our garden and I created this tag.

Toot Toot!

Oh wow, apart from being really ill this past week or two and feeling yucky and horrible I had a fabaroonie email from Sweet Shoppe Designs that made me jump up and do a bit of a boogie :)

Do you see me? Do ya Do ya????? Oh my goodness I made the call for the Sweet Shoppe Hybrid Babes and I am so excited. Even better was that my lovely friend Cindy made it too.
With feeling poorly I haven't done much crafting but I couldn't be invited to the sweetest party in town and NOT have a little play could I?

And ... And ... And ... My lovely friend Kay Miller has been designing again and joined up with some of the Sweet Shoppe Designers to make this really sweet Raggedy Annie kit. It was the froggie that hopped off the computer and onto my card - he's lovely!

Not to be outdone the lovely Mary Fran from NitWit Collections has also been busy and has the sweetest Noah's Ark kit in the store. I've been waiting for this kit to be released for months since she mentioned that she'd been designing and I'm not disappointed.
