A Happy, Happy Birthday Card ...

Oops, almost forgot to share my Papertake Weekly card! I love this card, it's been sat on the shelf above my craft desk for ages because I din't want to put it in the card box

A Decorated Gift Box ...

Cutting it fine I know, but I finally finished this decorated gift box for a wedding we are going to tomorrow! It started off life as a pink and blue patchwork effect heart shaped box with a leaf pattern all over it - it really was as dreadful as it sounds - so I changed it.
The papers are all from a digital kit by Zoe Pearn called Serenity

I used these gorgeous pearls from 3DJean, I love that in one pack you get all the different sizes which was just perfect for this project as I wanted to use lots of different sizes

All the ribbons, lace, braid and rose flower are from the Ribbon Girl.

A Pretty Card ...

This card was intended for a sketch challenge at Twisted Sketches but, as is the way with these things, I took too long to take it's photograph and missed the end of the challenge. Oh well, it's a pretty card and it is currently winging it's way to a friend.

It's a really pretty girly girly card and I used on of Zoe Pearns new digital kits (also a new line from MME) and a Hanglar stamped image. I spritzed the flowers with Shimmerz spray from Jean's shop and the ribbon and pins are both Ribbon Girl

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 80

This is a new challenge for me which I came across after blog hopping through the week. It's a lovely sketch for a card and this is what I created

I used Zoe Pearns new kit Summer Days, ribbon from the Ribbon Girl and that gorgeous felt flower is made from some of my Papertrey felt (that I have been hoarding as it's so nice)

Zoe Pearn Designs ...

Zoe Pearn released 2 new digital kits this week - both fabulous - and both the digital versions of her new My Minds Eye releases from CHA

And these are the cards I made using them both

I loved this orange spotted ribbon from The Ribbon Girl, it went perfectly with the touches of orange in the paper and stopped it being 'blue' overload

CPS 176 ...

2nd post of the day, I know just like buses - weeks go by without any posts then they all come along together

Anyway, I had time this morning to play with the latest Zoe Pearn kit Monster Mash (because I love that little blue monster so much) and I teamed it up with this weeks CPS challenge

Winter Mini Book ...

I loved those photographs that I took of Haggis playing in the snow and from when we went for a walk in the beautiful snowy countryside so decided to make them into a mini album. It's more of a tag book than an album as I've added bits and pieces into it and printed my photographs back to back to create phototags.
My album base is a set of 3 wooden houses from Craftshapes which I covered in a selection of papers from Zoe Pearn's Winter Wonderland kit
I added some of the elements from the kit - journalling block, tree and snowman - that I trimmed and covered the backs of to make tags and I completely covered them in ultrafine white glitter.
I added some KaiserScrapbook rubons that I had left over from another project to the journalling blocks before covering them in the glitter and they work brilliantly and look just like those chipboard elements you can buy to go with some makes of paper. I used my Cropodile to punch holes in all the tags as well as some wooden snowflakes that I painted silver and they got the glitter treatment too.
I turned my photographs into tags by printing them wallet sized (nine to a page), trimming them and glueing them together back to back before punching a hole and adding them into the book. I joined it all together with some ball chain that I pinched from some of my Maya Road chipboard albums and then I added lots more glitter to the edges of all my wooden shapes just in case there wasn't enough and also went a bit mad with my new purchases of the Zva Creative pearl and sparkly swirl and snowflake stickers
