Finally - a card ...

Good grief, considering that I am on holiday there is a lack of craftyness going on in this house but here I am with a card to share, I might even share two!

My first card us made with my new favourite Nitwit kit, From The Sea and is for the current Papertake Weekly challenge - to use dies. Last week I spent ages sorting out all of my nestabilities and other dies, some I had forgotten about and some that had ended up in the wrong drawer but now they are all neat, tidy and organised.  On this card I used MFT and Papertrey border dies

My second card was made for The Ribbon Girl using the new super sparkly and gorgeous glitter organza as well as a Lori Boyd digi stamp and a few other Ribbon Girl goodies

A New Stamp Designer ...

Today I finally got a chance to play with this delightful little stamp.  She is called Maggie and is by a new designer, Bug and Roo Stamps by Hannah Boyd. Sounds familiar? She is the teenage daughter of my lovely friend Lori Boyd and you can read all about her here.

I used the digital Sweet Summertime papers by another of my talented friends, Crystal Wilkerson and a simple satin ribbon from The Ribbon Girl. I resized the banner from Crystals element pack and added button twine from the Ribbon Girl and lots of stickles of course!

If you would like your own Maggie she is here  together with a few friends

Not A Christmas Card ...

Today I wanted to share a card that isn't a Christmas card

She is a little Puddle Jumper digital stamp from Lori Boyd and very sweet. I used my Papershapers retro flower punch (I still love this shape even though my punch is really old!) to punch through some corrugated kraft cardstock and the striped button and Divine Twine bakers twine are both from Ribbon Girl

Snow Family ...

I have a life lesson to share today, one involving a hand crafted card, taking photographs outside and err...... dropping the lovingly handcrafted card into the snow!!   Oh dear, that is exactly what happened to this card so please excuse the smudged snow family, they took a dip straight into a snow drift

(Snow family by Lori Boyd Designs coloured with Copics, Stickles, Cosmo Cricket paper and that gorgeous satin ribbon is from the Ribbon Girl)

This is the snow that killed off my snowpeople, the view from our back garden and yes, that is 17 inches of snow! the rest of the garden had 13 inches when I was out this afternoon but this was where the snow had blown at the edge of our patio

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ...

...especially here because today we had 4 inches of snow. Unfortunatley I couldn't stay warm at home and craft all day, I had to walk to work because no traffic could get in or out of where I live. Luckily for me though I got to come home a little earlier and dashed outside between snow showers to take photographs of my recent projects - we've had rain for last couple of weeks which has meant awful lighting for taking photographs

This card is made using a new digital stamp by Lori Boyd, you can find it and lots of other new stamps in her digi stamp shop here

I love the bow, made from some new gorgeous silk ribbon from the Ribbon Girl, it ties perfect bows and I can't stop using it

I've been a bit quiet for the last few weeks, just very busy with school work and fighting off a cold which seems to be winning but I've also completed three magazine assignments which have all been packed up and posted off so now I can get back to playing for fun :)

Another By LORi Designs Card ...

I have another card to share today made using one of the new PJ stamps from Lori Boyd.  The little waggon actually had a pumpkin sitting in it but I really didn't need another pumpkin card - I needed a girly birthday card instead. So I worked some magic - simply used the erase tool in Photoshop to erase the pumpkin and added in Lori's little lollipop dog instead! For an easier option you can buy the stamp without the pumpkin - Lori has added an extra stamp to the shop inspired by my adaptations :)

There is a new challenge over at The Pink Elephant challenge blog and this week we are sponsored by Die Cuts R Us. You can find out about the challenge at the Pink Elephant blog, this is my DT entry and I got to play with the Cowboy McCoy stamp by Lori Boyd.

(October Afternoon paper, Die Cuts R Us image stamp, button and twine from the Ribbon Girl, kraft card, star stamp and sentiment stamp from Papertrey Ink, star punch by Stampin Up)

New at By LORi Designs ...

Lori is starting to sell her Puddle Jumper stamps as digital stamps from her By LORi Designs shop. These little people are slightly more grown up than the other Puddle Jumpers and will be known as PJs and can be found here

The pumpkin in the little truck made me lean towards orange and I used these papers by Crystal Wilkerson together with a lovely orange polka dot button and button twine from the Ribbon Girl

I have to go now - Haggis, having spent the majority of the weekend doing this

... has now decided he wants to play

Princess ...

This is my card for the Pink Elephant Challenge blog Design Team.  We were so lucky this week as we got to play with some of the new Lori Boyd PuddleJumper stamps, available here.  I just love this little Princess and of course she had to have a pretty pink dress and a bit of sparkle ;)

The saddlestitch and scalloped spot ribbon as well as the pins and bakers twine are from the Ribbon Girl, the little Princess charm is from the Hobby House, the digital paper is from this digital kit and I added some beautiful and very sparkly American Crafts Thickers and used Stickles for even more sparklyness

Toot Toot!! and a Blog Hop ...

I have nearly burst with excitement during the last couple of weeks because of an email I got asking me if I would be interested in joining a new Design Team from ..............  Lori Boyd! Oh my goodness I just about exploded doing the excited dance as I replied to her email. Not only is Lori one of the sweetest people I know but she designs the cutest digital stamps (or you may have seen her rubber stamps here and here) and she makes gorgeous cards too.

So, there you have it - my exciting news! And I have a new badge to add to my list of people that I design for over there on the side of my blog

We thought a Blog Hop was in order as we are celebrating the new team as well as some new releases by Lori which can be found in Lori's shop here.

The whole Design Team are joining in and if you hop to each of them leaving a comment as you go you will go into the draw to win Lori's latest Grandparent and Bride & Groom stamps as well as 5 other digi's of your choice from Lori's shop. You have until Saturday night (midnight US time) to leave your comments on all the blogs to enter the draw

Andrea - that's me!
I have played with the Grandparents stamps but as I didn't need a Grandparent card - I actually needed to make a 40th birthday card for a man - I changed his trousers to jeans and gave him brown hair instead of grey, snuffed out the old lady and he instantly appeared 20 years younger! I wonder if this could work in real life? I could be onto a winner there :o)

(papers by Crystal Wilkerson, Button twine from Ribbon Girl)
